Betterment
On my desk stands a lamp similar to the one pictured above, easily one of my favorite products. After weeks and weeks of coveting my husband's bedside lamp with 2 electrical outlets and of growing increasingly discontent every time I spelunked under said desk to plug-in my laptop power cord, I bought one. If and when my bedside touch lamp expires, I will seek to replace it with a touch lamp with 2 electrical outlets. How lazy am I?

One in a Hundred
Trudging over the threshold, I exhale heavily, pulling off the stocking cap with the attached ninja-like face mask with one hand and my purple sunglasses with the other. Smiling I remember hearing "when the snow lay on the ground, cool and crisp and even," from THE still small voice, while surveying the frozen prairie landscape. Forcing myself out the door for the morning run was a great plan; despite the below freezing temperatures, I received HIS peace.

My "to do" list sits beside me surrounded by piles of school related written material of one form or another. I wandered off track when I checked my RSS reader for blog posts to read or to delete and then I chose one and read it and then right-clicked links to explore further and then made a new wish list to add books to at Amazon and then...
This flurry of distracted activity consoled me and made me feel like I was accomplishing something important, all the while I was feeling sorry for myself because I didn't write that blog post that said EXACTLY what I wanted to write...

D'ya ever feel under it when it comes to the stuff of life that has to be done?
Sometimes when I feel like that, I remember that making a decision and/or accomplishing a task, no matter how small, lifts the pressure - and then I act. That's why the picture of the bread machine to the left; I just ordered one, after months of being without one. I look forward to its arrival! I am capable of making breads by hand, but this handy time-saver has been sorely missed by me.

Day 2 Innocently I began downloading an internet security program onto the two new laptops
