Regarding Facebook posts

It's not the differences that bother me; it's the bickering.  I am caught with the idea that if we would use our energies toward the things we agree upon rather than our differences, then we would have more peaceful and rich lives all across the board.

Fragrant and Free

Moments ago I arrived home from my dash to our local library -- have I mentioned before how much I LOVE libraries (tee-hee, I know I have)?!

Celebration

Breakfast this 70-degrees-and-breezy morning was a serving of Cascadian Farm Oat and Honey Organic Granola with almond milk, homemade whole grain wheat and toasted wheat germ toast with natural peanut butter, coffee and water.  Generally I try to limit grains and carbohydrates for breakfast, but this morning I splurged.  The change in our weather makes me want to celebrate!

I am also rejoicing that I finished the costumes and props for our 1Voice team!  Although I have not yet sewn on the quilt that I was planning to work on this summer, it  was still fun to sew something!  Furthermore another finished knitting project means that I am free to choose a new project -- hooray!  (How many exclamation points do I need to use?)  I have one in my sights, but have not found the appropriate yarn as of yet, so until then I cast on an anklet sock late last night.  I might as well be knitting something until I find the yarn.

And then tonight is "July birthdays celebration night" with extended family.  Fullness of joy is mine!

What are you celebrating or could you celebrate today?

Costume Construction

http://1voicekki.blogspot.com/
Our family is blessed to be a member of a King's Kids USA Go-Network team based out of Cedar Lake, Indiana.  The name of our team is 1Voice, as pictured in our logo above.  God has led us on many adventures where we have ministered to others and been ministered to by others during the past few years.  Some of our fun is recorded on the blog, and if you are a Facebook friend, you may have seen my postings about 1Voice.

100 and Counting

Somehow hitting the 100 posts mark seems significant to me.  Fun stuff!

Something else fun I've been pondering is related to the following verses:

Dream

One of the amazing, creative people I am blessed to know has a God-sized dream she is pursuing.  Lisa Walsh's art is life-giving and inspiring and is on the cusp of advancing to new heights.  Join me in supporting her dream, please!

I admire Lisa for taking this step forward and am convinced that she is advancing.  It encourages me to hear the stories of people dreaming with God and beginning to move toward those dreams.  Thankfully I am beginning to "hear" the whispers of my dreams, long forgotten and abandoned; that encourages me greatly as well!  May we all take the time to sit in Father's lap and dream with Him.

What are your God-sized dreams?

Danglin' My Toes

yes, this is spilling over into the next column, but you need to see this!

Pictured above is a screen shot of the planner I mentioned from Donna Young.  I took the plunge last week to buy the product and finally started to input data into it yesterday.  I am starting to understand how to get around inside of this monster Microsoft Excel workbook and have a growing admiration for Donna Young's creativity in designing this planner.  It does indeed seem to be what I was looking for, especially since I use Excel spreadsheets for making assignment sheets.  This planner also has made it clear to me that I only know the smallest amount about the capability of Excel.
