Going Out on a Limb or O Christmas Tree
O Christmas tree,
O Christmas tree,
How lovely are Thy branches.
O Christmas tree,
Tree of Life;
tree planted by streams of living water;
tree bearing fruit in its season;
tree bearing fruit of the Spirit -
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control;
tree whose leaves are for the healing of the nations.
O Christ-
Christ who died on the tree for me
-mas tree,
How lovely...
lovely is the beauty of His holiness,
are thy branches...
branches we are of Him the True Vine.
