Stop saying that word
Inconvenience: not convenient especially in giving trouble or annoyance. Not suited to personal comfort or to easy performance.
This word exposes a place in my heart. I abhor inconveniences and struggle with doing the right thing with a good attitude when faced with them. I'd like for this place in my heart to be healed. Replace the heart attitude/mindset of inconvenience with delight, joy and pleasure. This mentality of inconveniences stands in the way of moving forward.
And then there's this soreness of heart from a secret treasure offered when there seems to be no way to receive it. Trusting that He is enough even for this.

Hooray for our high school senior, who completed her Pre-Calculus course today!
So what? Earlier this year, I purposed to start re-learning Pre-Calculus once said senior had completed the course in preparation for my junior student, who will be taking it in the fall. It seemed an exciting and adventurous prospect at that moment of decision. I expect the grace for accomplishing this feat to be available when I do start.
Anon, we leave for drama rehearsal.
Whatcha doin', anon?

***today***
I haven't cried or felt like crying this often since the 11-ish years of my life in which I was either pregnant or nursing a baby. At times when I have felt like this, I have looked ahead to some event and been encouraged. Glancing over at the next two weeks as represented by our 'fridge calendar, I know that said tactic is NOT going to help. Why, oh why is it bothering me so much?!
On the up side of it, it makes me run to Jesus all the more:-). "So fly to Jesus..." It works for me and in me, transforming me. Perhaps the light of understanding is glimmering.
Cracking on...

Transpose:
reverse order of things; move something to different
position; change setting of something.
It’s that time of year again – serious school planning
time. I feel the breath of the ending
school year on the back of my neck as I sprint toward the finish line of
planning for 2012-13. Generally I have
discovered that I enjoy this part of my job, although it is often accomplished
in fits and starts because the current school school year is still in
progress. In the process I also usually
learn new things or re-learn forgotten things.
My favorite new or re-learned bit of knowledge thus far is
the handy feature in Microsoft Excel called “Paste transpose”. This has saved me hours of data re-entry now
and will save me hours of frustration next school year, allowing me to re-style
assignment sheets into a more user-friendly format. If you don’t use Excel and/or this feature,
here’s a picture of what it does:
I think I’d like a button in life like this one to help me
to transpose things. Were I to have one,
on this day I think I would start with my attitudes, beliefs and trust
levels. Come to think of it, I do have
one; transformation by the
renewing of my mind is Holy Spirit's job.
What would you like to transpose in your life today?

Elpis (el-pece’)
(Warning: The following is my own perspective and
inspired thought about that Greek word.)
I think Jehovah sneaky,
with His sense of humor, is reminding us where true hope is found. To me “el” points to
Elohim, the one true God, and “pis” sounds like the word “peace.” Get it?
“God’s peace” in Greek is translated to “hope” in English in the following:
May the God who gives hope
fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in him. May
the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope. i
Yes, I’ll have some of that
hope, joy, peace, trust and power of the Holy Spirit, please, today!
What’s your word
for today?
