Oh the Places I've Been; Today's Links
With company coming over for supper tonight, I should be preparing. However I cannot resist another random post.

First, two tips, freebies:
- If you are struggling with curtailing time spent perusing Pinterest, switch your current service provider to a satellite company which severely restricts your download threshold (and yes, viewing stuff on Pinterest does suck those mbs)
- Label your power cords with those squares plastic tabs that are found on the bags of loaves of bread and other bread products. You will save yourself frustration when you want to uplug yourself (or others) from the power strip.

Shattered (or Wrecked again)
I must pass along links to recent two messages by Danny Silk that shattered and encouraged me recently. We were in attendance at Bethel Valparaiso All-Nations Church for Danny's message on May 13th, 2012. I listened to the second message, Fierce , this morning while making pancakes, (our Wednesday morning breakfast is usually pancakes), and again while out running errands.

Wrecked
While out doing the weekly shopping trip, I was wrecked by the "Sermon of the Week," (S.O.W.) from 04.29.12, which you can download at: http://www.ibethel.org/podcast/2012/05/02/one-of-those-days . Danny Silk is an anointed communicator.
I highly advise all of you to listen and be wrecked yourself, but I will share some of my notes with you.

knee-jerk
: reacting in a readily predictable way
I'm beginning to recognize my knee-jerk thoughts in certain seasons, and while they still swirl around in my head, I find that I do battle with my sword of truth more readily and more steadily each time said season arrives. God's peace eventually arrives, after we have together conquered the "jerks." I often have questions that linger without answers, but choose to trust and to wait patiently for those. Quite honestly, I am usually so worn out from the battle, that resting is not difficult. I am so thankful for God's en-courage-ment; He puts courage in me!
What do you do to combat the "jerks"?
And on a random note, I love Microsoft's OneNote program, and use it daily to keep track of multitudes of information.
If you use OneNote, what are your favorite uses for it?

Than Tongue or Pen can ever Tell
God is rich in mercy and loves mankind with a great love. It is His kindness that draws us to Him. God made/provided the peace, the conflict resolution before the conflict so that every person can be His Son and share in the Heavenly inheritance. Each person is God's workmanship, uniquely created to reflect God and created for good works. Each person has gold hidden inside of them which is meant for their own good/benefit and for the benefit of others.
Earnestly seek, find and encourage that gold in every person with whom you come into contact.
I didn't know I needed to clean the fish before I caught them ~ John Wimber
"The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Oh, the love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.”

What are you willing to fight for in that person?
Who championed you? How did that affect you?
Who seemed to bring only correction to you? How did that affect you?
What are you going to do now?
